STOODY® STOODITE® 21 CTD 1/4" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb vac pak and bonds well for all weldable steels, including stainless steel. Electrode's typical applications include steam valves, forging dies, hydro-turbine cavitations repair, hot shears, piercing plugs, chemical and petrochemical valves. Coated electrode deposits low carbon austenitic type cobalt alloy having great work hardenable high temperature strength and impact resistance. These deposits are quite stable during thermal cycling, making them ideal for hot die materials. Shielded metal arc welding electrode is suitable for valve trim on steam and fluid control valve bodies and seats.

Applications

  • Forging dies
  • Hot shears
  • Piercing plugs
  • Chemical and petrochemical valves
  • Steam valves
  • Hydro-turbine cavitation repair

Features

  • Resistance to galling (self-mating), corrosion, and cavitation erosion make STOODITE.21 a good choice for valve trim on steam and fluid control valve bodies and seats
  • These deposits are quite stable during thermal cycling, making them a favorite for hot die materials
  • It bonds well to all weldable steels, including stainless
