Sterling® premium quality lead-free solid wire solder is formulated for plumbing and other applications where lead-bearing solders are prohibited. It has a low melting point, yet provides a melting range ideal for filling and "capping" solder connections. Sterling® has a tensile strength of 7130 psi and shear strength of 5970 psi. It meets or exceeds the requirements for lead-free plumbing solder set forth in the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. It is 100% environmentally safe with no antimony, lead or nickel.
