Stoody 101HD is an open arc welding wire with a higher carbon content than 100HD. This alloy is ideal for hardface plate applications requiring higher alloy content in 1 & 2 layer deposits. 101HD is normally deposited on low carbon steel plate and used in severe abrasion applications. Deposits are not machinable or forgeable and can be used in hot wear applications up to 900°F (482°C).
