STOODY® 21 CTD 3/16" Dia x 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb box and is designed to resist moderate to severe abrasion and impact conditions. A coated tubular electrode is ideal for compactors, mill hammers, ripper shanks, bucket teeth and dredge pump industrial applications. Shielded metal arc welding electrode works on AC or DC and has no slag interference. Electrode bonds well with carbon, low alloy and manganese steels. Deposits automatically form stress relief cracks on cooling.

Features

  • Moderate impact resistance
  • Can be applied AC or DC, either polarity (reverse preferred)
  • Deposits are slightly magnetic on carbon and low alloy steels, but no on manganese steels, and will develop cross checks
  • Deposits will develop cross checks
  • Good abrasion resistance
  • No slag interference
