STOODY® 5/32" Dia x 14" Self-Hardening Hard Facing Electrode comes in in a 10 lb box and provides a good balance of impact and abrasion resistance. Electrode is ideal for churn drills, trailer hitch, machine components, bearings and sliding metal parts. Self-hardening electrode is a solid core electrode with an extruded coating that contains alloying elements. It can be used on both metal-to-metal and metal-to-earth applications. Self-hardening electrode can be applied to carbon and low alloy steels. It can be forged at red heat and works on AC or DC reverse polarity.

Features

  • Can be applied to plain or alloy steels; magnetic on carbon or low alloy steels
  • It can be forged at red heat, but it is not readily machinable
