Quite possibly the most comfortable and best-fitting welding cap ever made, and the most protective. The Black Stallion AH1630-NG constructed of single-layer flame-resistant cotton for lightweight protection from sparks, with less heat trapping. The majority of the welding cap is made with navy blue 7 oz. FR cotton and the side panels are made with gray 6 oz. FR cotton stretch knit, leaving it machine washable while retaining FR protection, through 50 home washes. The deep crown design allows cap to be worn just above eyebrows and the softer side panels provide chafe-free flame-resistant ear coverage. The AH1630's large cap bill offers more neck protection from sparks and UV rays while also storing a Hidden flap inside the bill, which provides extra neck protection when extended. Finally, it is stitched with durable flame-resistant thread.
