ER309LSi has a higher level of silicon than ER309L combined with a carbon content lower than ER309. The increased silicon level provides better arc stability and a smoother bead appearance while an average 02% carbon level reduces carbide precipitation. Typical applicationswould include those of ER309 and ER309L.
