ER409 Cb is a ferritic stainless steel alloy wire modified with the element columbium (Cb). ER409 Cb is a special purpose heat-resisting alloy with excellent weld metal flow and smooth bead appearance designed for GMAW (MIG) welding of exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters in the automotive industry. This alloy wire can be used for many other applications for joining both AISI 409 and AIS 410 stainless steels using MIG, TIG or Submerged Arc processes.
