STOODY® AC DC BOROD® CTD 3/16" Dia x 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb vac pak and is suitable for metal-to-earth applications that require utmost abrasion resistance and low impact resistance. Electrode is ideal for log grapplers, concrete pug mill paddles, ash plows, ore chutes, sand slingers buckets. The finer mesh size offers slightly enhanced wear protection. Deposits produced by the electrode is heterogeneous that contains tungsten carbide particles suspended in a tungsten steel matrix. It is perfect for hot wear application up to 900 deg F and uses minimum amperage to minimize dilution. It works on AC or reverse polarity with DC current.

Features

  • The finer mesh size generally provides slightly increased wear protection
  • STOODY AC-DC Borod coated electrode is used for metal-to-earth applications requiring extreme abrasion resistance and low impact resistance
  • It is similar to STOODY AC-DC Tube Borium in all respects except that the mesh size is finer (40 - down) to provide deposits resembling fine grit sandpaper
  • Use AC or reverse polarity with DC current For hot wear application up to 900°F
