410 stainless steel TIG (GTAW) welding alloy is used for welding alloys of similar compositions. Also, used for overlays on carbon steels to resist corrosion, erosion or abrasion. Usually requires pre-heat and post-heat treatments. Conforms to AWS A5.9.
