ER80S-B2 low alloy steel TIG (GTAW) welding alloy is used to weld 1/2 chromium-1/2 molybdenum, 1 chromium-1/2 molybdenum and 1-1/4 chromium-1/2 molybdenum steels for elevated temperatures and corrosive service. Also, used for welding dissimilar combinations of chromium-molybdenum and carbon steels. Use with a pre-heat and interpass temperature of 275◦F (135◦C) minimum. Conforms to AWS 5.28.
