Harris® 180 is a unique chromium carbide electrode combining unsurpassed weldability, plus super impact and abrasion resistance and high hardness. It is the ideal alloy combination where hardness and toughness are required on carbon and alloy steels, manganese steels and cast irons.

Features

  • Used on crusher jaws, hammers, bucket lips and teeth, wear plates, pins, axles, shafts, cams and eccentrics.
  • Produces hard and tough results on carbon and alloy steels, manganese steels and cast iron
  • General purpose maintenance and repair alloy
  • Yields economical, smooth overlays
  • Used to protect most iron-based surfaces against severe abusive wear and moderate impact.
  • Ripple-free surface doubles "grip resistance" to fine abrasive media
  • Formulation totally eliminates the "worm tracking" type porosity common to this alloy group
  • Incredible weldability that is impact and abrasion resistant, while yielding results that are extremely hard
  • Amperage Range: 140-175 amps (1/8 in), 160-225 amps (5/32 in)
  • Electrode Type: Stick (SMAW)
  • Sizes: 1/8 in x 14 in, 5/32 in x 14 in
  • Deposit Hardness: RC 57 to 61
  • Deposit Thickness: 1/4 in max
  • Polarity Compatibility: AC or DC reverse or straight polarity
  • Deposition Rate: High, magnetic
  • Material Compatibility: Carbon steel, alloy steel, manganese steel, cast iron
  • Wear Resistance: Severe abrasion
