STOODY® 1102 1/8" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb vac pak and is designed for wear resistance in metal to metal applications. Electrode is ideal for cable sheaves, forging dies, crane wheels, hot and cold shear blades, drill pipe hard banding and hot work extrusion roll. Electrode has an extruded coating that comprises of the alloying elements. It also has an all weld metal composition and physical properties similar to those of H-12 tool steel. Electrode is great for hot wear applications up to 1100 deg F and can be machined using carbide tools. It operates on AC or DC, either polarity using stringer or weave beads. Electrode offers excellent weldability in all positions. Multiple layers can be applied without difficulty when proper preheat, interpass temperature and cooling rates are noticed.

Features

  • Multiple layers can be applied without difficulty when proper preheat, interpass temperature and cooling rates are observed
  • Can be applied AC or DC, either polarity (reverse preferred) using stringer or weave beads
