Safety-Silv® 40FC flux-coated is a ductile, free-flowing alloy that offers economy, good penetration into tight connections and medium temperature. Silver to light yellow color like polished brass.

Features

  • Often used for corrosion applications or high temperature service, so suitability for the brazing alloy should be evaluated for the intended condition
  • Flux-coating eliminates the need for manual flux application
  • Complies with EU RoHS directive
  • Suitable for brazing assemblies with wider gaps
  • Cadmium-free, silver brazing alloy
  • Moderate temperature alloy with a medium plastic range
  • Good ductility
  • Good replacement for hazardous cadmium bearing filler metals
  • Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Stay-Silv® 40, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
