Stay-Silv® 2LP is an economical, phos-copper brazing filler metal alloy. It features a lower phosphorus content than Stay-Silv® 2 yielding a wider melting range. This improves the alloy's ability to fill non-uniform clearances. Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive. Complies with ISO 17672 CuP 279 and EN 1044 CP 105

Features

  • Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive
  • Fluidity rating 3
  • Cost saving, low phosphorus alloy
  • Brazing range of 1350◦F - 1550◦F (732◦C - 843◦C)
  • Wider melting range than Stay-Silv® 2
  • Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Stay-Silv® 2LP, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.003 in. - 0.006 in. (0.08 mm - 0.15 mm)
  • Flux not required for copper brazing as it is self-fluxing. For brazing brass or copper-to-brass Stay-Silv® white flux is suitable for most applications. Harris eco SMART® boric acid free flux, powder or paste, is an excellent choice to promote sound brazed assemblies
  • Can fill non-uniform clearances
  • Weight: 1.02 lbs
  • Silver Content: 1.8-2.2%
  • Copper Content: Remainder
  • Phosphorus Content: 4.6-6.5%
  • Other Elements: 0.15%
  • Solidus Temperature: 1190 F (643 C)
  • Liquidus Temperature: 1500 F (816 C)
  • Brazing Range: 1350 F - 1550 F (732 C - 843 C)
  • Joint Clearance: 0.003 in - 0.006 in (0.08 mm - 0.15 mm)
  • Compliance: ISO 17672 CuP 279, EN 1044 CP 105, EU Reach, RoHS
  • Corrosion Resistance: Similar to copper base metal; avoid sulfur exposure
