Harris® 0 phos-copper brazing filler metal is a low cost alloy use for many copper-to-copper applications where moderate fit-up can be maintained and brazing temperature is not critical. Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

Features

  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. (0.05 mm - 0.13 mm)
  • Primarily used in manual brazing applications
  • Not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
  • When brazing brass, operators should avoid over heating and use Stay Silv® white brazing flux
  • Copper is self-fluxing, so no manual flux application is required
  • Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive
  • Economical choice for copper brazing
  • Alloy flows quickly at brazing temperature requiring close joint tolerance, less than 0.005 in. (0.13 mm)
  • Suitable for brazing brass
  • Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Harris® 0, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
  • Weight: 1.02 lbs
  • Phosphorus Content: 7.1%
  • Other Elements: 0.15%
  • Copper Content: Remainder
  • Solidus Temperature: 1310 F (710 C)
  • Liquidus Temperature: 1460 F (793 C)
  • Brazing Range: 1345 F - 1500 F (730 C - 816 C)
  • Electrical Conductivity: 9.9 %IACS
  • Electrical Resistivity: 19.2 cm
  • Recommended Joint Clearance: 0.002 in - 0.005 in (0.05 mm - 0.13 mm)
  • Compliance: EU Reach, RoHS
